R&D Our R&D staff works as a part of your team assisting your product development process in many ways. Our R&D, analytical labs, pilot dryers and new test kitchen are available for use in developing the perfect ingredient for your application. We are able to match current ingredients or develop new items. The research and development and operations staffs at Bluegrass Dairy and Food can assist you in formulating and manufacturing specific to your needs. Besides traditional dairy and nondairy lipid powders, Bluegrass Dairy and Food can produce wine powders, colors, flavors, nutritional supplements, concentrated fruit solids, yeast and yeast extracts, soy sauce, Worcestershire, vinegar, molasses and honey powders. Custom Spray Drying Bluegrass Dairy and Food offers the flexibility to meet your drying demands. Bluegrass Dairy and Food utilizes Blawknox® box dryers while the Glasgow facility has tall form dryers, box dryers and roller dryers. Roller dryers are excellent for high sugar items such as molasses and honey as well as confectioner ingredients such as whole milk powder and milk crumb. Both plants have fully equipped processing operations which include evaporation, pasteurization, heat exchange, cream separation and homogenization. Dry Blending The Glasgow plant offers a modern blending facility to meet your needs for dairy and nondairy products. The system includes a blender and vibratory sifter. Packaging options include heat sealed or sewn bags, bag in box and tote. |
